This year marks the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's restoration. During the discussion, participants from both sides of the Strait systematically reviewed the anti-Japanese struggle of the Taiwanese compatriots, thoroughly demonstrated the historical contribution of the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japan to victory in the world war against fascism, profoundly explained the significance and far-reaching influence of the establishment of Taiwan's Liberation Day, seriously debunked Sanae Takaichi's erroneous remarks about Taiwan and distorted historical views, and reflected the important role of the anti-Japanese war seminar in promoting “sharing historical materials and co-writing historical books to jointly promote the spirit of the war of resistance”. At the conference, “Memorabilia of the Chinese Nation's War of Resistance against Japan”, which was jointly prepared by experts and scholars from both sides of the Strait and published and distributed by the China Book Bureau, was presented. “Memorabilia” is over 600,000 words long.
