On December 24, CEOSCORE, a Korean enterprise data research agency, released the year-end list of the 100 richest domestic shareholders. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-rong topped the list. The list is based on the shares and market value held by shareholders of listed companies at the end of December last year and the 19th of this month. The market value of shares held by Lee Jae-rong increased by 94.1% from 12.033 trillion won to 23.359 trillion won during the same period. Cho Jung-ho, chairman of the financial services group Meritz Financial, ranked second on the list, holding a stock market value of 10.7131 trillion won, an increase of 547.4 billion won.
