We learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology that the department took the lead in organizing the preparation of the “Implementation Guidelines for the Intelligent Transformation of the Digital to Connected Sensor Industry in the Jiangsu Manufacturing Industry”, which provides an important basis for developing diagnostic services at the grassroots level and for enterprises to promote digital transformation. As an important part of the IoT sensing layer, sensors mainly include fields such as IoT chips, module terminals, and transmission standards. The sensor industry's intelligent transformation to digital connectivity is a systematic and global transformation process. The “Guidelines” are aimed at sensor manufacturers across the province and provide paths and suggestions for improving intelligent digital transformation and networking capabilities: large enterprises prioritize full-process automation, flexible manufacturing, industrial big data analysis and supply chain collaboration, and focus on 5G+ industrial internet and network security protection to ensure overall intelligent upgrading; small and medium-sized enterprises focus on optimizing key links, prioritizing quality inspection, data collection, equipment interconnection, and flexible manufacturing to achieve digital upgrading at low cost, and gradually expand into supply chain and remote operation and maintenance fields. The “Guidelines” also clarify the goals. By the end of 2027, the sensor industry in the province will basically complete the intelligent transformation of regulated industrial enterprises and fully implement the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
