Beijing Energy International (00686) plans to spend about 371 million yuan to acquire 70% of Yangzhou Tairun New Energy Power Development Co., Ltd.

According to Zhitong Finance App, Beijing Energy International (00686) announced that on December 22, 2025, the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Jingneng International (Gaoyou) Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. plans to acquire 70% of Yangzhou Tairun New Energy Power Development Co., Ltd. from Gaoyou Yongtai Enterprise Operation and Management Co., Ltd., at a cost of approximately RMB 371 million (tax included).

The board of directors believes that the acquisition is in line with the Group's development strategy and provides an opportunity to further expand its clean energy portfolio and optimize its asset structure. It is in line with the long-term strategy of focusing on the clean and renewable energy sector, and is also in line with the macro-trend of transformation to a green and low-carbon energy system and the goals of China's 14th Five-Year Plan. Furthermore, the acquisition is expected to enhance the Group's operating scale and asset base, generate potential operational synergies through integrated management and effective resource allocation, and enhance the Group's overall competitiveness in the clean energy market, thereby supporting its sustainable development.

After the acquisition was completed, the installed capacity of the target project reached about 460 megawatts, which is geographically close to the Group's existing photovoltaic power generation project in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province, thus generating potential synergy benefits for project management, operating efficiency and overall power generation capacity, which is expected to enhance the Group's profitability.
