Agricultural consulting agency Agrural raised Brazil's 2025/26 soybean production estimate to 1804 million tons, an increase of 1.9 million tons over November's forecast. As the world's largest producer and exporter of soybeans, Brazil produced 171.5 million tons last quarter. The increase was mainly based on the generally favorable weather conditions in December, which provided a good start for crop growth. At the same time, the agency stressed that for most farmland, there is still uncertainty about the final yield level. The scale of future harvests will be highly dependent on weather conditions in January and February next year and the first half of March in some regions. Currently, Brazilian farmers have begun harvesting new season soybeans in parts of Parana and Mato Grosso. Harvesting is expected to continue in these regions over the next few days, but progress in more extensive substantial harvesting is expected until January next year, provided weather conditions permit.
