According to China Energy Construction news, recently, a joint venture formed by China Energy Construction China Power Engineering International Corporation, East China Institute, and Hunan Thermal Power won the bid for Saudi Electricity Purchasing Company's sixth round of photovoltaic power generation project in Shamuta, with a contract amount of 300 million US dollars. The project is located about 15 kilometers northwest of Shamuta town in Jizan province in southern Saudi Arabia, with a total installed capacity of 600 megawatts. The joint venture will undertake the entire chain of work including project design, equipment and material procurement, construction and installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance. After completion, the project is expected to generate more than 1,900 gigawatt-hours per year.
