The meeting discussed the ongoing border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, and emphasized ASEAN's collective commitment to maintaining regional peace and stability, as well as its determination to resolve disputes peacefully through diplomacy and dialogue. Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiyono also posted on social media on the same day that he attended the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Special Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur. Indonesia believes that with ASEAN's support, Cambodia and Thailand can find a peaceful solution through dialogue. Indonesia called on both sides to exercise maximum restraint and return to diplomatic channels.
