On the morning of the 22nd, the 989 formation of the Chinese Navy completed a comprehensive offshore internship mission and goodwill visits to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and successfully returned to Qingdao, Shandong. The Chinese Navy's 989 formation consists of the Navy's integrated landing captain Baishan, the ocean navigation training ship Zheng He, and the large integrated training ship Navy “Advance 1”. Since setting sail on November 15, the formation has successively sailed through the five sea regions of the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, the South China Sea, the Java Sea, and the Western Pacific, visiting 3 countries of Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It took 38 days, with a total voyage of about 7,000 nautical miles. More than 1,500 military academy students and more than 10 foreign military students from the Naval University of Engineering and Naval Aviation participated in this comprehensive offshore internship mission. During the mission, the formation organized participants to complete 15 basic training programs, including astronomical navigation, geotechnical navigation, marine hydrometeorology, etc., and carried out 8 applied training programs, including ship tactical maneuvering, ship positioning and navigation, and navigation, and navigation, and navigation information acquisition. All participants passed the assessment. During the visit, 14 foreign military officers and military academy cadets from 8 countries, including Brazil and Brunei, also boarded Chinese ships and went out to sea for mixed training with Chinese cadets. The formation hosted 3 deck receptions and many ship opening events, and organized participants to visit Vietnam Naval Academy, the Malaysian National Hydrological Center, and the Indonesian Marine Corps to conduct visits, sports exchanges, and thematic discussions, deepening friendship and mutual trust with the visiting countries' military forces.
