07:51 AM EST, 12/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Tadawul All Share Index closed Sunday higher at 0.33% in the green, shrugging off the continued conflict between Venezuela and the US regarding oil tankers. In other news, the US intercepted an oil tanker vessel in Venezuela. The move follows President Donald Trump's threats to block all vessels from entering or leaving the country. Meanwhile, investors are focusing on the People's Bank of China's one-year and five-year loan prime rate numbers. Market watchers expect the bank to keep it unchanged at 3% and 3.5%. "With the last key data releases done for the year, Saturday's Loan Prime Rates decision will dominate next week's economic discussions. We expect this to be a non-event, with 1 and 5 year LPRs held unchanged at 3.0% and 3.5%, respectively," ING said in a note. Looking ahead into the rest of the week, the local calendar will be empty except for the export and import numbers on Thursday. However, the US will see the release of its estimated GDP growth rate numbers for the second quarter. Back at home and on the corporate front, Zamil Structural Steel Co., a subsidiary of Advanced Building Industries (SASE:2240), d/b/a Senaat, secured a project to design, produce, and deliver steel structures and cladding works to Qatar's Elegancia Steel. Senaat gained 2.14%.
