Zhitong Finance App News, Chlor-Alkali Chemical (600618.SH) announced that Guangxi Chlor-Alkali Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, plans to invest in the construction of a “comprehensive utilization project for advanced materials supporting waste salt” in the Guangxi Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone Petrochemical Industrial Park to invest in the construction of 300,000 tons/year of caustic soda, 250,000 tons/year of vinyl chloride and 300,000 tons/year PVC production plants, with a total investment of 2,975 million yuan. The project conforms to the Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Material Integration Base industrial development plan, uses waste salt as a raw material to produce caustic soda, realize the resource utilization of waste, provide key raw materials for downstream epoxy resin, epoxy chloropropane and other devices, realize a circular economy industry chain for chlorine resources, promote regional industrial collaboration and resource optimization, and enhance the overall competitiveness and green development capabilities of the base. Since project investment and construction require a large amount of construction capital, the company plans to increase the capital of Guangxi Chlor-Alkali Company through cash investment, with a total capital increase of 893 million yuan.
