On December 19, ByteDance released an internal email to employees around the world, announcing that it will continue to increase talent investment, improve salary competitiveness, and enhance options incentives. Specifically, it includes four major measures: increasing bonus investment, increasing the 2025 annual performance evaluation cycle by 35% compared to the previous cycle; drastically increasing salary adjustment investment, 1.5 times higher than the previous cycle; and raising the lower and upper limits of the total remuneration package for all levels. The company said the move was to ensure that employee compensation competitiveness and incentive returns are “ahead of the top levels” in every global market.
