From January to November, the National Railway sent 3,727 billion tons of goods
From January to November of this year, the National Railway sent a total of 3,727 billion tons of goods, an increase of 2.7% over the previous year; the average daily load of 187,000 vehicles, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year. The advantages of “China Railway Logistics” are even more prominent, providing strong support for reducing logistics costs for the whole society and ensuring the smooth operation of the national economy.
Since this year, the railway department has earnestly implemented the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, accelerated the construction of a modern railway logistics system, continuously optimized product supply, and continued to improve the functions of the railway 95306 freight platform. The advantages of “China Railway Logistics” have become more prominent, and market competitiveness and brand value have continued to improve.
First, the supply of logistics products is accurate and efficient. Closely connect with market demand, actively integrate into the enterprise supply chain, vigorously develop bulk direct trains, express intercity trains, specialized and new professional logistics trains, and cold chain logistics trains, and implement customized services to meet diverse transportation needs. Connecting with leading cotton companies and organizing special cotton trains, the National Railway shipped a total of 1.064 million tons of cotton from January to November, an increase of 31.8% over the previous year. Continuously optimize full-process logistics products and promote the development of multimodal transport. From January to November, the National Railway sent a total of 15.789 million TEUs of iron and water intermodal transport container cargo, an increase of 15.4% over the previous year, and 34,000 TEUs were booked for “one single system” logistics products for iron and water intermodal transport.
Second, the quality of logistics services continues to improve. Vigorously develop general logistics services, and signed a total of 1.4 billion tons of logistics turnkey contracts. The China Railway Network freight logistics platform, which serves individual car drivers and motor transport companies to participate in the railway intermodal transport business, has been fully promoted, with 178,000 cars entering, providing customers with pick-up and delivery services at both ends of the railway, making the entire logistics process more convenient and efficient. Actively promote logistics financial services such as railway freight loans, letter of credit settlement, document financing, and freight certificates. Customers have received a total credit of about 24.8 billion yuan, effectively helping the development of the real economy.
Third, the transportation of goods across borders is stable and smooth. Strengthen communication and coordination with domestic customs departments and overseas railway departments to improve port transportation efficiency, issue the fourth batch of full schedules for China-Europe trains, increase the number of China-Europe train routes implementing the full schedule to 17, and increase the number of weekly trains to 22 to ensure safe, efficient, stable and smooth cross-border cargo transportation. From January to November, the total number of China-Europe (Asia) trains operated 31,200, up 9.0% year on year. Among them, the China-Europe train operated 1,852 trains in November, an increase of 21% year on year, a record high of monthly operation; the China-Lao Railway cross-border freight trains sent 4.98 million tons of goods, an increase of 15% year on year; the Western Land and Sea New Channel trains sent a total of 1.31 million TEUs, an increase of 55% over the previous year, which strongly promoted international economic and trade exchanges.
Fourth, transportation guarantees for key materials are strong. The transportation capacity guarantee for key materials of the national economy and people's livelihood was strengthened to ensure smooth transportation. From January to November, the volume of smelting materials and grain in the national railway increased by 8.5% and 10.0%, respectively, over the same period last year. In response to the recent cold tides and windy cooling weather in some regions of China, coal supply and transportation were carefully organized to actively support all regions to welcome the peak of winter. By the end of November, coal storage in direct railway power plants across the country had maintained a high level of coal storage, and power plants that had stored coal for less than 15 days had been dynamically cleared.
