SBM Offshore Extends FPSO Contracts in Angola to 2032

12:21 AM EST, 12/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SBM Offshore (SBMO.AS) agreed to extend its lease and operating contracts for two floating production, storage, and offloading vessels in Angola, according to a Wednesday release. Under the deal with Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15), the deepwater ocean infrastructure company will retain ownership and operational responsibility for the Mondo and Saxi Batuque FPSOs until 2032. The contract also includes life-extension operations, with the scope of work to commence in 2026. Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15), an affiliate of ExxonMobil (XONA.F), operates Block 15.
