The International Forum on Mutual Appreciation of Civilizations 2025, with the core theme of “Mutual Appreciation and Inheritance and Development of Civilizations”, concluded in Macau on the 17th and issued the “Mutual Appreciation and Inheritance and Innovation of Civilizations: The Macau Initiative”. The 2-day forum was hosted by the Macao SAR Government, hosted by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the SAR Government, and supported by the Institute of Chinese History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It brought together about 300 representatives of government departments, international organizations, experts and scholars from nearly 10 countries and regions to give more than 20 keynote speeches and academic exchanges. The topics covered areas of civilized symbiosis, cultural heritage protection, “one country, two systems” practice and mutual appreciation of civilizations.
