01:56 AM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Italian competition authority, AGCM, concluded its investigation of unfair commercial practices by Eni's (ENI.MI) retail and renewables division Plenitude. The probe was launched in March 2025 after customers claimed that their electricity and gas supply contracts were renewed on changed terms and conditions without any prior notice between May 2024 and September 2024, the watchdog said in a weekly bulletin released Monday. The Italian energy group will provide compensation of between 2 million euros and 6 million euros to 90,000 to 110,000 eligible customers and also commit to implementing measures such as sending emails and registered letters to notify customers of any such changes in the future. Eni did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
