The reporter learned today from the Ministry of Water Resources that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China's digital twin water conservancy system framework was basically formed. It completed 94 pilot tasks for digital twin watershed construction; promoted the construction of digital twin water networks in 14 provincial water network pilot zones in batches; 11 key projects, including the Digital Twin Three Gorges, South-to-North Water Transfer, and Xiaolangdi, were put into practical application. Furthermore, the construction of an integrated “sky and ground hydraulic” monitoring and sensing system has been accelerated. At present, a monitoring and sensing system covering 34 remote sensing satellites, more than 180 rain sensors, 136,000 ground-based hydrological flood reporting stations, and more than 300,000 engineering safety monitoring points has been formed, which basically covers water conservancy business requirements such as flood and drought disaster prevention, and water resource management and allocation.
