According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from December 10 to 12, 2025, the 22nd consultation meeting on International Telecommunication Union resolution 609 was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. More than 30 satellite navigation system operators from 17 countries and regions participated in the discussions, and officials from the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Bureau attended the meeting as observers. The purpose of the resolution 609 consultation meeting is to determine the power share of national satellite navigation systems in the 1164-1215 MHz band by establishing a consultation mechanism and to strictly ensure that the total power of all systems does not exceed the specified limits, so as to protect aerial radio navigation services within this band from harmful interference. Through multi-party coordination, China's proposal was adopted at the conference, further consolidating the status of China's satellite navigation system as an international rule that has been included in the negotiations. At the same time, experts from China were elected as the conveners of the next cycle of consultations on International Telecommunication Union resolution 609. The Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized 11 representatives from the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Application Management Center, the National Radio Spectrum Management Center, the Beijing Satellite Navigation Center, China Satellite Network Group Co., Ltd. and Beijing Future Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. to attend the conference.
