Chris Beauchamp, IG's chief market analyst, said: “Risk appetite remains low until this week's busy schedule arrives. “The decline in artificial intelligence-related stocks that dragged down the Nasdaq Composite Index on Monday may also be dragging down Japanese technology stocks. Yaskawa Electric declined 5.5%, Fujikura fell 5.1%, and Japan Exchange Group declined 4.7%.
