Russian presidential assistant Yuri Ushakov said that if unacceptable clauses are added to the Ukrainian settlement plan, Russia will strongly oppose it. He said, “We haven't seen them yet, but if they include relevant changes, we will strongly oppose it because we have made our position very clear, and the United States fully understands this position.” He stressed that Russia may raise objections to many aspects. He stressed, “There will be some provisions that we cannot accept at all, including territorial issues. I think so; generally speaking, it involves territorial issues.” Ushakov also pointed out that the contribution of Ukraine and Europe to the settlement document on the Ukrainian issue is unlikely to be constructive.
