YIT Signs Contracts to Start Construction Phase of Finnish Urban Development Project

10:55 AM EST, 12/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- YIT (YIT.HE) and the City of Turku in Finland signed the implementation phase contracts for the Kupittaa Core urban development project in Turku, with construction work set to begin in early 2026. The Finnish construction group said Friday it will build the Taito campus and infrastructure project, and estimated its work value at 150 million euros. Completion of the project is expected by the end of 2028. The Kupittaa Core project is a collaboration between YIT, the City of Turku, Lundén Architecture, and Renell Käppi Architects. It includes a campus building for students and staff members, as well as public transportation structures.
