China and France reaffirm their commitment to further effectively and continuously implement the 2019 “Sino-French Beijing Initiative on Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change”, the 2024 “Sino-French Joint Statement on Strengthening Cooperation on Biodiversity and the Ocean: Kunming - Montreal to Nice”, and the 2025 “Joint Statement on Climate Change on the 10th Anniversary of the Paris Agreement”. China and France reaffirm their commitment to strengthening multilateralism and addressing global challenges. In particular, they are committed to implementing the “Rio Conventions”, the Kyoto Protocol, the “Paris Agreement”, the “Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework” and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as the fundamental legal foundation and main framework for international cooperation to address global climate and environmental challenges.
