Scientists at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany published a paper in the recently published “Frontiers in Biotechnology and Biotechnology” magazine saying that they have developed an automated preparation method that can mass-produce miniature lung organs. This organoid contains real lung cell microstructures, can more effectively test experimental drugs, predict patients' responses to treatments such as radiotherapy, and does not require the use of animal materials.
