Aberdeen to Become Sponsoring Employer of Stagecoach Group Pension Scheme

06:38 AM EST, 12/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aberdeen Group (ABDN.L) said Thursday it agreed to become the sponsoring employer of the Stagecoach Group Pension Scheme, allowing the latter to continue to run on. The investment company and asset manager will manage the scheme's 1.2 billion pounds sterling worth of assets and be in charge of the funding under the deal. It will receive a minority share of future distributed surplus, while the majority will go to members. Aberdeen does not expect the transaction to significantly affect its capital position.
