The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government held a press conference on December 4 to say that the “Tai Po Wang Fu Yuen Assistance Fund” set up by the HKSAR Government has received donations of HK$2.8 billion from the outside world, which will be used to help affected residents rebuild their homes. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government also announced that the living allowance for fire victims will be increased to HK$100,000 per household.
