Recently, the National Standardization Administration issued the “Notice of the National Standards Commission on Issuing the Tenth Batch of Recommended National Standard Plans and Foreign Language Versions of Related Standards in 2025”. Among them, a recommended national standard plan for the “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Communication Networks for Remote Transmission of Medical Data” developed under the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology was issued. The standard regulates communication network technical requirements and test methods for telemedicine device data transmission, and clarifies requirements and test methods for telemedicine device communication transmission in terms of function, performance, and safety. In the next step, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology will continue to promote the development of this standard in collaboration with core forces in the industry chain such as medical and health institutions, medical device companies, basic telecom operators, and communication technology companies. It provides unified standards for telemedicine device communication technology research and development, provides communication technology support for supervision and review by industry authorities, and establishes a solid foundation for high-quality industrial development standards.
