The reporter learned from the University of Science and Technology of China that a research team composed of Professor Pan Jianwei, Lu Chaoyang, and Professor Chen Mingcheng of the university used quantum ground state single atoms imprisoned by optical tweezers to faithfully implement the “recoil slit” quantum interference idea experiment proposed in the 1927 Einstein and Bohr dispute. They observed the gradual change process of interference contrast with tunable atomic momentum, proved the principle of complementarity under the Heisenberg limit, and demonstrated the continuous transformation process from quantum to classical. The relevant results were published in the international academic journal “Physics Review Express” on December 3.
