Tencent Games: Minors are limited to playing games for no more than 27 hours during summer vacation

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on July 3, Tencent Gaming's 2025 Summer Youth Protection Special Campaign was launched, and a summer play calendar for minors was released. From July 1 to August 31, underage players can experience the game every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 20:00 to 21:00. The total duration of the entire vacation period is no more than 27 hours. The “NetEase Game 2025 Summer Play Calendar” also shows that underage players can experience games for no more than 27 hours during the summer vacation, which is the same as Tencent games.

Tencent upgraded the juvenile protection system to a new “technology+service+public welfare” model and introduced a “temporary game switch” function. Parents can flexibly set the length of a single game and automatically force offline when overtime; there is also a “face voucher” function, which can force pop-up face recognition verification to prevent children from stealing and fraudulently using parent accounts.

In addition, Tencent Growth Guard launched the “Parent Service Live” to teach parents to customize their child's game control plan online, explain the child's model control knowledge, help parents turn “control” into warm “guidance”, strictly implement the new national anti-addiction regulations, and build an all-round protection ecosystem for minors.
