On June 30, Ruijin Hospital and Huawei announced an open source RuiPath pathological model with the intention of lowering the threshold for deploying pathologic AI-assisted diagnosis in hospitals. This also became the first open source pathological model for medical institutions in Shanghai. The open source this time is the core “visual basic model” of RuiPath's pathological model. According to official reports, the model is based on millions of high-quality digital pathological slice data from Ruijin Hospital, and is based on the Huawei AI full-process tool chain ModelEngine for labeling, training, and model refinement. Of the 14 auxiliary diagnostic task tests on 12 mainstream public data sets in the industry, 7 have reached industry-leading levels, and have clinical verification capabilities. This open source package provides test data sets, covering 7 common types of cancer, including lung cancer, colorectal cancer, thyroid cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and pancreatic cancer.
