The Zhitong Finance App learned that the latest report released by IDC shows that China's relational database software market was US$2.28 billion in the second half of 2024, up 11.1% year on year, up a slight increase from the growth rate in the first half of 2024. Among them, the scale of public cloud relational databases was US$1.45 billion, an increase of 13.7% over the previous year; the scale of locally deployed relational databases was US$830 million, an increase of 6.8% over the previous year. IDC predicts that due to the impact of software localization, rapid development of AI native applications, and macroeconomic recovery, China's relational database market will return to a rapid growth trend in 2025, with a market growth rate close to 25%. By 2029, China's relational database software market will reach US$11.03 billion, and the 5-year compound market growth rate (CAGR) for 2024-2029 is 20.8%.
