Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Intercede Group plc (LON:IGP) CEO & Director, Klaas van der Leest, recently bought UK£50k worth of stock, for UK£1.48 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 3.3%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.

Intercede Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Klaas van der Leest was the biggest purchase of Intercede Group shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that even when the share price was higher than UK£1.40 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.
