On August 28, China FAW, Volkswagen Group, and the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee signed the “Jetta Business Development Cooperation Agreement” in Chengdu to prepare to establish a new Jetta brand company to jointly develop Jetta into a leading enterprise in the automobile industry in Sichuan Province. The Jetta brand will strengthen local independent R&D capacity building centered on Chinese customers, and plans to launch 5 new products, including 4 new energy products, by 2028.
