The Mojaloop Foundation today announced an upcoming webinar that will explore the critical role of pre-validation in the successful rollout and scaling of inclusive instant payment systems. The session, titled Reducing Failures, Cutting Costs, Increasing Trust: The Role of Pre-Validation in Instant Payments Adoption,” will take place on July 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. UTC.

As instant payment systems become foundational to financial inclusion efforts worldwide, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and user confidence is more important than ever. Pre-validation — verifying transaction details before execution — can significantly reduce failed transactions, lower operational costs, and build trust among consumers and providers alike.

Panelists will include:

  • Jean Jacques Kajuga, COO, RSwitch
  • Jedidah Ndebele, Executive Secretary & CEO, COMESA Clearing House
  • Michael Richards, Principal Architect, Mojaloop Foundation
  • Mike Truter, Regional Head of Industry Engagement (EMEA), Swift
  • Julie Guetta, Technical Solutions Lead, Mojaloop Foundation (Moderator)

“Pre-validation is a powerful tool to address one of the most persistent challenges in digital financial services — transaction failures,” said Guetta. “By improving transaction success rates and building trust, pre-validation not only enhances user experience but also reduces costs for providers, making instant payment systems more sustainable and scalable.”

This webinar is designed for central banks, financial service providers, digital payment system operators, and stakeholders involved in building or operating inclusive payment systems.
