Anchor AS Says No Further Extensions to Acceptance Period for REC Silicon Takeover Bid

11:51 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- REC Silicon (RECSI.OL) said Thursday the acceptance period for Anchor AS' voluntary all-cash offer to take over the Norwegian silicon materials company will not be extended beyond July 8. Anchor resolved that its offer of 2.20 Norwegian kroner per share is its best and final offer to the company's shareholders. Hanwha, a major shareholder of REC Silicon, stated it will no longer provide REC any further loans unless the offer is completed as REC elected a board that it does not support. In light of REC's financial uncertainty, Anchor and Hanwha said it is in the interest of REC and its shareholders to resolve the outcome of the offer "as soon as possible."
