The anti-war documentary “Hard Work”, which was restored in high definition by the Chinese team, premiered at the Oscar Film Museum in Los Angeles on the evening of the 24th local time, which resonated widely with film scholars, historical experts, and ordinary audiences from China and the US. The documentary was curated and funded by Chinese-American female artist Li Lingai, and filmed by American battlefield photographer Ray Scott. From 1939 to 1940, Scott traveled to places such as Hong Kong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu, and Qinghai, and used color film to outline a panoramic historical picture of the pre-war period of China.
