This morning, Typhoon No. 1 “Butterfly” of this year finally formed, officially kicking off the typhoon season. As the first typhoon to take the stage this year, although “Butterfly” appeared significantly later than usual, it had a clear goal. It hit China's South China coast and will also be the first typhoon to land in China this year. According to the latest forecast from the Central Meteorological Observatory, typhoon “Butterfly” will move at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour to the north-west, gradually increasing in intensity. It will land along the coast from Lingshui to Ledong in Hainan from the early morning of the 13th. The intensity at the time of landfall will be severe tropical storms; it may also land again during the day in western Guangxi to the coast of Guangxi. The intensity of the landfall will gradually decrease.
