The Baltic Sea Dry Bulk Freight Price Index rose 59 points or 4.1% to 1,489 points, the highest level since April 4, and recorded an increase for 6 consecutive trading days. The cape-type shipping price index rose 148 points, or 6.3%, to 2,481 points, the highest level since March 27. The average daily profit of cape-type ships rose by $1,226 to $20,576. The Panamanian shipping price index rose 37 points, or 3.3%, to 1,145 points, a one-week high. The average daily profit of Panama-type ships rose by $334 to $10,307. The ultra-convenient bulk carrier freight rate index fell 2 points to 940 points, the lowest level since April 15.
