Sugar Land Attraction Slated for $12.5M Facelift

The Sugar Land Development Corp and Sugar Land 4B and agreed to pay developer Rebees $12.5 million to make improvements on Sugar Land Town Square.

The renovations aim to make the development more attractive to businesses, residents and visitors. The funding will support renovations in two commercial buildings and property-wide office spaces. The buildings include:

Property-wide office tenant improvements ($4.5 million); Building B ($6 million): addition of communal office spaces, upgraded landscaping and streetscapes; Building H ($2 million): entry, lobby and signage renovations, garden area updates and new furniture.

Opened in 2003, the walking district and lifestyle destination located at the intersection of U.S. 59 and Highway 6 has 223,000 square feet of retail and restaurant, 566,000 square feet of Class A office space, 167 condominiums, a full-service Marriott Hotel with a conference center, and City Hall, all anchored by an expansive central plaza where the city gathers by the thousands for concerts, festivals, performances, and pop-ups.
