TSM.US advanced manufacturing process will increase the price of 2nm process wafers by 10%

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to people familiar with the matter, TSM.US plans to raise the price of one of its advanced manufacturing nodes soon.

People familiar with the matter said that wafer prices will soar further in the next few weeks, mainly due to TSMC's rising costs of building fab plants in the US and other overseas regions, as well as the need to recover 38 billion to 42 billion US dollars in its capital expenditure plan this year.

The price of TSMC's 2nm process wafers will rise 10% from the previous year. The estimated price of 300mm wafers last year was $30,000, while the new price will reach around $33,000.

Additionally, the global foundry will increase the price of its 4nm manufacturing nodes by 10%, possibly up to 30%.
