Lego Opens New U.S. Headquarters in Boston’s Back Bay

The Lego Group officially opened its 157,000-square-foot office at Samuels & Associates’ the Lyrik, 1001 Boylston St. in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. Spanning six floors, the space will serve as its new U.S. hub and will eventually accommodate more than 800 employees.

Niels B. Christiansen, the Lego Group CEO, said, “This fantastic new Lego workspace is an important part of our U.S. investment strategy, fast becoming a talent magnet in this important market. The Boston Hub will open up new ways for LEGO colleagues to create, connect, and grow as we continue our mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow across the U.S.”

The office’s opening was attended by Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Danish Ambassador to the U.S. Jesper Møller Sørensen. At the opening ceremony, Lego announced a $5-million philanthropic commitment over two years to increase access to play across the city
