According to the China Trademark Network, recently, Beijing Jingdong Sanbailu Shidu E-commerce Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the JD Group, applied to register a number of “Joyrobotaxi” trademarks. The international classification of trademarks covers fields such as means of transport, scientific instruments, transportation and storage. Currently, the above trademarks are all awaiting substantive review. The industry generally believes that JD's move is intended to officially lay out an autonomous taxi track.
