The Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Industrial Policy Department of the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection jointly held a director-level video conference of the 2025 Sino-German Industrial Carbon Reduction Working Group on April 15. At the meeting, Director Wang Peng of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director Bite Barron of the Industrial Policy Department of the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection respectively presented the implementation of industrial carbon reduction targets and policy tools. Relevant experts exchanged discussions on Sino-German industrial carbon reduction cooperation projects, energy saving and carbon reduction in the steel industry, and carbon footprint standards for key industrial products.
