Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt to Lift Stake in Atlantic Lithium's Ghana Portfolio to 50%

05:54 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- China-based Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt will increase its interest in Atlantic Lithium's (ALL.L) Ghana lithium portfolio to 50% by solely funding the remaining $66 million of development costs for stage 3 of the Ewoyaa lithium project. The Africa-focused lithium explorer and developer said on Monday the funding commitment follows the completion of an agreement transferring Elevra Lithium's rights and obligations in Ewoyaa and the wider Ghana portfolio to Huayou. Huayou now holds rights to a 22.5% interest in the portfolio and will earn an additional 27.5% through the funding, after which Huayou and Atlantic Lithium will share development costs equally.
