03:37 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nordic Mining (NOM.OL) temporarily suspended mining operations at its Engebø project in Norway to reduce costs and preserve liquidity amid ongoing financial restructuring negotiations. The Norwegian mining company said Monday that it and its subsidiary Engebø Rutile and Garnet remain in talks with Nordic Trustee, the trustee for the subsidiary's bondholders, and a royalty holder. However, it said the parties' positions have "moved further apart" since Oct. 20, and no agreement has been reached on proposed bondholder waivers and other restructuring measures. The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
