In the future, after the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project is completed and put into operation, the Jinsha River water drawn from here will follow a 600-kilometer trunk channel and cross the Hengduan Mountains with complex geological conditions, benefiting about 15 million people along the way, and fundamentally solving the problem of water scarcity in central Yunnan.
