(Sagimet), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing fatty acid synthase (FASN, a key regulator of lipid synthesis) inhibitors for acne, has completed the first case of ASC40 in the US phase III clinical trial AURORA. The trial was administered to adults with moderate to severe acne and those aged 12 and above It is carried out among young people. AURORA aims to support the submission of potential New Drug Marketing Applications (NDA) in the US. The trial was based on the positive phase III clinical results obtained by Goli and the subsequent 52-week open label extension study data.

Under an exclusive license agreement with Sagimet, Clarion has the right to develop, manufacture and commercialize denifastat (ASC40) in Greater China. Clarion has obtained an exclusive license for Dinifastat (ASC40) from Sagimet in Greater China.
