Scandi Standard shares closed at SEK181.2 heading into today, after a strong 90 day run that left poultry investors feeling confident. Then Q3 2026 landed with a clear message. Net sales reached about SEK4,051m and net income came in at SEK131m, underscoring a business that is earning its recent re rating rather than riding sentiment alone.
The short term move has already played out on the screen. The real story now sits in the multi year earnings trajectory, along with what a rich P/E multiple and high debt load ask of Scandi Standard over the next cycle.

Optimistic investors have argued that Scandi Standard can compound earnings by climbing the poultry value ladder and squeezing more profit from each kilo sold.
"Strong market position, efficiency gains, and product innovation drive resilient revenue growth, margin improvement, and enhanced profitability amid favorable industry and consumer trends."
Q3 gives some support. Net sales of about SEK4,051m and trailing 12 month net margin of 3% versus 2.3% show both scale and profitability moving in the right direction. Adjusted EBIT margin of 5.4% and a 25% uplift in Ready to eat revenue align with the mix and efficiency story.
The more cautious view questions whether heavy investment and changing food habits could undercut that earnings path.
"Investors seem to expect Scandi Standard's recent and planned capacity expansions (such as the Lithuanian and Dutch plants) will drive significant volume growth and enhanced efficiency. Yet this relies on flawless execution of ramp-ups and integration. Any delays or cost overruns could result in below-forecast earnings and ROCE."
So far, execution looks disciplined. Factory C in the Netherlands is moving into commercial start up in Q4 2026, Lithuanian farming capacity is funded within SEK680m 2026 capex, and leverage of 1.7x after the rights issue sits comfortably below the 2.5x target, which reduces immediate balance sheet strain from these projects.
