Ahold Delhaize Restores Systems Following Cybersecurity Incident

12:21 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize's (AD.AS) precautionary suspension of certain online systems last week, in response to "malicious" activity in its IT infrastructure, impacted most of its brands across Europe and the US. The Dutch food retail group said Monday it has no evidence that any sensitive customer, associate, or partner data has been taken, but an investigation is ongoing. The company filed a police report regarding the cybersecurity incident announced on Oct. 12 and is working to resume the websites, applications, and services of its brands. The brands' stores remain operational during the phased restoration.
