On October 13, 2026, the New Zealand Ministry of Commerce, Innovation and Employment issued a notice stating that the investigation determined that the import of aluminum profiles had caused damage to the domestic industry, but did not meet the serious damage standards required by the Act [New Zealand Trade Act 2014], so it was decided not to implement safeguard measures for aluminum profiles and terminate the safeguard investigation.
