Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) rebounded to $82,000 after dipping below $80,000 on Thursday, while several major altcoins flashed technical buy signals.
Glassnode posted on X that Bitcoin is sitting on support, but a large cluster of long liquidations sits just below current levels, with another cluster near $75,000.
Short liquidations, meanwhile, have piled up above $85,000 all week. Glassnode noted the lower clusters look more fragile than the ones overhead, meaning a drop could trigger forced selling before shorts get squeezed higher.
Widely-followed crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe posted on X that he’s grown less confident in Bitcoin’s chart after it failed to break through $84,000 resistance.
He said if $82,000 also turns into resistance, the most likely setup is a move below $80,000, since that’s where liquidity is concentrated and most likely to get swept.
Analyst Ali Martinez posted a thread on X highlighting buy signals across four major altcoins using the TD Sequential indicator, a tool that flags potential trend exhaustion points:
| Asset | Ticker | Signal Setup | First Target | Resistance Beyond |
| XRP | (CRYPTO: XRP) | Sequential 13, TD 9, Aggressive 13 | $1.40 | $1.50 |
| Solana | (CRYPTO: SOL) | Daily buy signal | $111 | $120 |
| Dogecoin | (CRYPTO: DOGE) | Buy signal near $0.080 support | $0.087 | $0.094 |
| Hyperliquid as measured by Hyperliquid Strategies | (NASDAQ:PURR) | Buy signal near $80 | $86 | $93 |
Ali Charts noted Solana’s last sell signal in late September preceded a 14% correction, while Hyperliquid’s Oct. 1 buy signal led to an 11% rebound.
He said all four signals point to possible bounces, but he’s watching whether buyers can defend current levels and push through each asset’s first resistance target before calling the dip over.
Bitcoin fell to $79,711 before rebounding, leaving a long lower wick on its daily candle that signals buying interest below $80,000.
The bounce pushed price back toward the rising trendline forming the lower boundary of its triangle pattern, though a daily close above that level is needed to confirm the recovery.
