Okayama Murata Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing, the world's leading MLCC company, plans to invest about 9 billion yen to add additional production lines to expand production of ceramic materials for electronic components such as MLCCs. Construction of the new production line is expected to begin in October 2026 and put into operation in April 2028. The scale of this expansion of production and additional production capacity has not yet been disclosed. The ultra-fine, high-purity ceramic raw materials produced by Murata in Okayama are used in Murata's number one MLCC products in the world.
